Make stone surfaces shine using the right equipment
First of all, you need Faber Solid Wax. Faber Solid Wax is a solvent-based wax made to restore the appearance of walls, tops and work surfaces without foot traffic. The formula of this polishing wax is created with high-quality paraffin giving treated surfaces an amazing shine, and enhancing both the tone and look.
Buffing stone floors with this wax polish defends surfaces from liquid penetration, water damage and staining penetration, due to its water and oil repellency. It is also thanks to this that future cleaning and maintenance treatments became much easier after applying Faber Solid Wax.
For this treatment, you also need a dry cloth or spatula. For the manual method of solid wax, you need a wool-cotton cloth or white or wire wool pad. However, for the mechanical method, you need a polishing machine.
How to make stone surfaces shine and protect them from water damage and staining
1. Apply Faber Solid Wax
Apply Solid Wax to the surface using a spatula or dry cloth to ensure it is evenly spread across the entire area.
2. Polish the stone surface
After 5 - 10 minutes or when the polishing wax completely dries, begin polishing and buffing the surface. This stage of the process can be done manually on small areas, or mechanically over larger areas.
For the manual method, use a wool cotton cloth, white or wire wool pad. For the mechanical method, we advise using an orbital or flexible polisher or arm polishing machine equipped with a white, felt or lambskin pad or wire wool.
Work the surface by brushing and polishing the excess until it is gone. The final result should be even and polished.

Due to its special formula, Faber Solid Wax is ready to shine and buff a variety of stone floors including many natural stone surfaces.

This buffing wax is ready for use on both exterior and interior surfaces. For this, it has to protect surfaces from the effects of the elements. This includes rain, hail and snow. Furthermore, using this professional polishing wax to polish stone floors offers them protection against the rising heat of a summer’s day and the extreme cold of a winter morning.
Dewaxing stone surfaces after making them shine
In order to de-wax surfaces after the use of Faber Solid Wax, we advise you to use Faber De 21. For a step-by-step guide to the de-waxing process, read our blog on how to remove wax from tile surfaces.
