What will you learn at a Tiling Logistics training day?

These training courses aim to give those who are new to surface restoration the knowledge they need to get going in this industry.

What's the earliest I can book a training course? 

We hold courses regularly throughout the year in most months. Please remember to book in advance as our training days fill up fast.

Our tile and stone cleaning and restoration courses are typically held over the course of 2 days; however, one our of courses has an additional third day. Everything you need to know is covered over the first two days. On the third day, we show our students what they can achieve working in the surface care industry. The third day is also an opportunity for trainees to fill any gaps in their understanding of what was covered on the first two days and further familiarise themselves with the types of surfaces and products they will be working with. 

While on the courses you will be taught how to treat all kinds of hard floor surfaces including porcelain, marble, travertine and ceramic.

What does Tiling Logistics offer?

How many years have you been training? What certifications do the trainers have? Who does the training? How many trainers do you have?

The course will be delivered by Anthony Martin and/or Kevin Martin. Together, this Father/Son duo have a combined 30+ years in this industry, making them the best pair for the job. Out of those 30 years, Kevin has spent 15 delivering training courses just like the one you will be attending. 

Once students have completed this training course, they will be presented with a paper certificate as proof of their achievement and time on the course. 

Floor polishing and cleaning training days with food and drinks provided 
 

Our 2-day course provides lunch along with water, tea and coffee. As the third day is only half a day, lunches will not be provided. Although, if trainees want to bring their own food, Tiling Logistics has fridges, a microwave and an oven. Additionally, if you are having the lunches provided by Tiling Logistics, please make us aware of any dietary needs.

We have always held these courses from Birmingham, aside from a brief period where they were held in Catherine-de-Barns. 

Booking your place on the training course  
 

As with the products sold by Tiling Logistics, people attending the training course must pay online prior to the day of the course. It is best for trainees to book a place on the course at least a few days in advance as there is a limited number of slots and we need to know how many people to cater for. 

Although, you can also book a place on this course with a deposit of £74 with the final balance being paid 2 weeks before this course. Contact Tiling Logistics on our online contact form. 

​​You can also book the course with just a deposit of £74 with the final balance of £400 due two weeks prior to the course to do this please get in touch. The same goes for company bookings of 2 or more employees attending we will arrange a store discount.

 
Floor restoration training suitable for beginners and improvers
 

When booking a place for the stone and tile restoration course, you can book single or multiple places. Our courses are appropriate for a complete novice learning the professional way to correctly identify the surface and to match the correct polishing pads to use with the Kilindex floor grinding machine. 

Please be aware that places available for this course are limited to 12 people. There is also a minimum of 3-4 people on our course. 

What clothing should I wear?

When attending our floor maintenance training course, we advise dressing casually. The floor grinding process can involve using water as well as the cleaning products we recommend for each type of tile and floor surface, please bare this in mind when choosing footwear.
