Scratch & Etch Mark Removal - SRP Hone Honing Powder will not only remove etch marks and scratches from surfaces but also leave these surfaces with a dull, even and non-reflective finish. This product can also get rid of traffic wear patterns that will build up over time.

Cleaning Action - Additionally, this honing powder can be used to assist in the cleaning of grout and textured materials, which means it can act as a great stand-alone product or work alongside other products.

Method of Use:

Before using SRP Hone Honing Powder, it is recommended that you test the grit you have purchased on a discrete area before a full application to ensure the final result will meet your expectations. 

- Pre-wet the work surface with water
- Apply SRP Honing Powder 
- Mix until a yoghurt-type conistency is achieved
- Use a slow speed rotary foor machine (154 to 300 RPM) fitted with a stiff to medium brush or black pad and water
- Add more water if the product begins to dry
- Remove the slurry with a wet vacuum
- Rinse with clean water
- Repeat the process with a finer grit

To achieve a polished finish after using this honing powder, we recommend Faber A3 Yellow Polishing Powder with a white polishing pad. 

SRP Hone Honing Powder Grit Range:

60 Grit - 60-grit hone removes heavy scratching.  

After using 60 grit, you will also need other grits up to Hone 320 for a matt finish. Or, you’ll need 400/800 grit for a higher or slight sheen.

100 Grit - 100 Grit Hone gets rid of scratching and if applied after 60-grit hone, will start closing the surface tension of the stone back down

100 Grit Honing powder is ready to use on limestone, marble, travertine and concrete. 

After using 100 grit, you will also need other grits up to Hone 320 for a matt finish. Or, you’ll need 400 grit for a higher or slight sheen

220 Grit - The 220 Grit Hone will remove light scratching. 

It is also suitable for use on concrete surfaces and some granites to clean and re-polish the surface. 

After using 220 grit, you will also need other grits up to Hone 320 for a matt finish. Or, you’ll need 400/800 grit for a higher or slight sheen.

You will also need other grits up to Hone 320 for a matt finish or higher for a slight sheen Hone 400. 

320 Grit - 320 Grit Hone Honing powder hones surfaces to remove light scratching on concrete, limestone, travertine and marble. 

You’ll need a slow-speed rotary scrubbing machine fitted with a soft to medium to brush or a floor pad and water 

400 grit - Similar to 220 grit, the Hone 400 removes light scratching on stone surfaces. 

In addition to limestone, travertine and marble, 400 grit is suitable for concrete flooring. 

Afterwards, use 800 Hone to achieve a matt finish.

800 Grit - The 800 Grit Hone gets rid of light scratching. 

It is also suitable for use on limestone, travertine, marble and concrete.
