How to Polish Limestone Tiles
Contrary to what its effectiveness may suggest, the application of Faber A3 Yellow is quite simple. Never apply this wet floor buffer to wet surfaces.
1. Apply Faber A3 Yellow
Pour 2 -3 spoons of this polishing powder onto the limestone. Then, add a generous amount of water to the powder.
Immediately apply the resulting fluid using a single-disc machine set between 150 and 200 rpm fitted with a white pad. Ensure you cover the whole surface in an even layer.
2. Buff the surface
Continue to buff the surface with the single-disc machine. Moderately add water to the mix if it becomes too dry.
When buffing surfaces after polishing and to restore the shine on worn surfaces, pass over the surface at least 20 - 25 times with the single-disc machine.
However, for maintenance polishing, pass over the surface at least 10 - 15 times with the machine. If this is the case, use a smaller amount of powder.
3. Get rid of any residues
Remove any residue from the limestone using a vacuum.
Before removing any residue, you can check the progress of the treatment by removing a small area of product with a squeegee mop or something similar.
4. Rinse
Afterward, rinse the surface with clean water.
Polished Limestone Maintenance
To maintain the shine achieved by A3 yellow, we suggest using Faber Cristalfab White Pad.
Cristalfab White Pad is a water-based crystallisation cream that crystallises marble, granite and polished lime-based surfaces.
It ensures a high shine without the risk of greying, rust or oxidation.
Maintaining the shine on polished limestone floors
Apply a small quantity of Faber Cristalfab White Pad to the limestone.
Pass over the surface in with a single disc machine set at 150-200 rpm equipped with a white pad.
Work in a circular motion and continue buffing the surface until the product is completely dry.
Remove any dust residue with a damp cloth, broom or vacuum cleaner.
Repeat this process if necessary.
