Why use a colour-enhancing impregnator to protect stone?
Natural stone surfaces are perfect for elevating the appearance of any area they are in thanks to their luxurious and unique texture. However, the beauty of natural stone fades over time without the right protection. This is where a colour-enhancing impregnator comes in. Not only do they restore the appearance of faded stone surfaces, but a colour-enhancing impregnator will also protect surfaces from future alterations to their appearance, including staining.
How to protect natural stone from water damage and staining-
1. Apply the Faber MA 90
Pour a generous amount of the impregnator onto the surface using a tool of your choice. Be sure to cover the entire surface in a layer of the solution.
2. Leave the solution to act
Wait between 5 and 10 minutes for MA 90 to act.
Evenly spread excess of the impregnator across the surface with the same tool. Do this until the finished surface is even and homogeneous. Although, this may not be a necessity on especially absorbent surfaces.
3. Buff the surface
After 4 - 6 hours, ensure the entire surface is completely dry. Then, you can buff up the polished result of this wet-look impregnator by dry brushing.
To do this, brush the surface dry using a traditional floor polisher (1.5 HP, 175 rpm) with a white or lambswool disc or wool-cotton attachment.
As an alternate, on counters, small surfaces or upright surfaces, an orbital or manual wheel is suitable for dry polishing. Use a white disc or pad or a compact felt or wool-cotton cloth.
Why Faber MA 90?
Faber is a solvent-based, wet-look colour enhancer that elevates the appearance of stone surfaces. It leaves a semi-gloss satin finish on natural stone and materials with non-polished finishes and a medium to high level of absorption.
Even on especially absorbent surfaces, this impregnator provides an in-depth wet look, while also creating a semi-polished surface finish and a warm colouring. This colouring enhances the natural grain and aesthetics of the surfaces.
However, Faber MA 90 does more than make surfaces look better, it also protects them and preserves their beautiful appearances. This natural stone sealer offers fantastic water-repellent and stain-proof properties. It is also resistant to UV rays so surfaces will not yellow over time.
This wet-look impregnator is incredibly easy and applying it takes no time at all.
