How to remove oil grease stains from stone surfaces?
1. Completely clean and dry surfaces
Before applying Faber No oil, ensure surfaces are completely clean. Remove any dust, dirt and debris.
It is also important to note that surfaces being treated with this grease and oil remover should not be wet or more than slightly damp.
2. Apply Faber No Oil
Pour the oil stain remover directly onto the surface. Use a spatula to make sure the surface is completely covered in a thick layer of No Oil.
3. Leave No Oil to act
Allow for the product to act on the surface until it completely dries.
This oil stain remover becomes a white powdery residue when drying. As a fast-drying solution, it dries after no longer than 1-2 hours from application.
4. Remove any residue
Afterwards, remove any remaining solution and residue with a clean cloth.
When completely dry, remove the powder residue with a soft-bristled broom or clean brush when treating porous materials.
For compact, non-absorbent materials, use an absorbent paper, towel or cloth to remove the residue.
Then, wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth or mop and wait for it to dry.
5. Repeat if necessary
Repeat this process if the results you want were not achieved.
Afterwards
For porous surfaces such as sandstone or handmade cotto, after completing the treatment, powder may remain trapped in the pores.
Remove this powder with a vacuum or a liquid cleaner and extractive detergent. We recommend Faber Deterfug to do this.
However, for my difficult cases, use a pressure washer.
