LTP Solvex | Caustic vs Non-Caustic Strippers
What is the difference between caustic and non-caustic strippers? LTP Solvex may help you understand and make it look effortless.
In this blog, we will explain the difference between these two types of strippers and which type may be best for you.
CAUSTIC VS NON-CAUSTIC
A caustic stripper is perfect if you are looking for a quick and easy way to clean the given surface, and you don't mind if it strips the wax or any sealants applied.
Most users of caustic based products will often apply a layer of wax after they have cleaned the surface for extra protection.
On the other hand, the others are happy to just wash and go.
A non-caustic stripper is designed to do the same as a caustic based, but it's safer to use on protected surfaces and will not strip wax.
Non-caustic is still a strong product with a high pH but often does not have quite the same cleaning strength as caustic.
But they are perfectly fine to use on heavily soiled vehicles.
They also can be used for daily washing if required, it will not damage the surface and most non-caustic products often contain a rinse aid to leave a perfect streak-free shine every time.
LTP SOLVEX
LTP Solvex is a high-performance remover suitable for removing silicone and acrylic waxes, adhesive polymers and epoxy grout residues.
This remover is best compatible with stone, travertine, terracotta, slate, sandstone, flagstones, quarry tiles, glazed ceramics and porcelain, for both interior and exterior use.
LTP Solvex is a powerful non-caustic stripper that softens most types of surface sealer, which can then be removed with ease.
It is most effective for removing most wax, oil, silicone, acrylic, residual epoxy grout, adhesive polymers and polyurethane sealers.
The perfect time for re-sealing is once all surfaces are washed, rinsed and completely dry.
LTP SOLVEX’S DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Firstly, pour the contents into a glass or metal container and definitely not plastic.
Then you can apply it generously by dabbing on with a cloth or brush.
Work in manageable areas of no more than 5 square metres at a time and do not brush out.
Leave for up to 30 minutes, but do not allow the solution to dry out.
In the event that drying should occur within the first 30 minutes, then apply a little more LTP Solvex.
Use a coarse, stiff brush or abrasive pad to remove the softened coating from the surface.
Then repeat the process if unwanted material remains.
We recommend washing down the surface with a bit of diluted LTP Grimex, rinsing with plenty of water and leaving to dry before resealing.
LTP SOLVEX COVERAGE
When lightly stripping, a 1-litre bottle will cover 8-10 square metres.
For deeper stripping, a 1-litre bottle will cover 5 square metres.
WHAT TO AVOID
Do not allow the solution to drip on vertical surfaces.
Avoid using brushes made from synthetic fibres, we recommend natural fibre brushes when using this product.
Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
Acrylic surfaces should be protected, such as baths and shower trays from contact.
