Medium Concrete Quick Change Grinding and Coating Removal Tools
- Concrete grinding accessories
- Unique bond hardness for versatility
- Suitable for all types of concrete
- Colour-coded for easy use
The Medium Concrete Quick Change Metal Bond Tools are ideal for medium hard concrete grinding. These diamond tools are made with a unique bond hardness for use on different types of concrete. They are suitable for soft, medium, hard, extra hard and super hard concrete surfaces.
The quick change metal bond system for medium hard concrete includes trapezoid-style pads that easily slide in and out of the grinder heads without the need for bolting.
Be careful when choosing the tool from this floor grinder accessory system because the wrong choice causes diamond glazing, premature wear and deep scratches. To determine the hardness of the concrete, use the Moh’s hardness test kit. To make things easier, the Lavina metal bond tool system is colour coded to match the level of hardness determined by Moh’s hardness pick set.
Segments:
Additionally, the segments in the floor grinder accessory system are available in different shapes. Due to this, the tools achieve even more varied results and users must choose the right shape to obtain the best finish for them.
Choose between one or two segments according to the grinder weight. For grinders under 25”, use single bar tools. For grinders over 25”, use double bar tools. Being available with a different number of segments and in different grits gives users more freedom when treating their floors with diamond tools and increases utility and versatility. Using fewer segments cut faster, but more segments create more surface contact allowing for surface refinement and fewer scratches.
Grit Range:
To maximise the life for this quick change diamond tools, we advise using 6 tools per head on 13” heads. Grit range: 30, 50, 70, 120.
30 Grit: Start from 30 grit metals in order to expose medium to large aggregates.
70 Grit: For small to medium aggregates, start with 70-grit metals.
120 Grit: Finally, start with 120 grit metals for salt and pepper.
To achieve a more aggressive cut, we suggest using the rectangular segment tool. This tool is also useful for non-cementitious coating removal.
Recommended RPMs: 550-650 for electric machines, 1800-2100 for propane machines.
