You need Faber YS One Water-based Anti-Slip Treatment for the wet floor accident prevention treatment. This solution is easy to apply and with just one use, stone floors require no additional maintenance to increase the non-slip properties. Faber YS One directly acts on the material, forming micro-erosions that are not visible to the naked eye. These erosions boost run-off of water increasing surface grip. The effects are prominent in wet conditions, regardless of whether visitors are in footwear or bare feet.

Anti Slip Flooring Stone Tile Treatment Liquid

Ceramic and porcelain tile flooring are non-porous and very smooth making them very easy to clean. Although, this causes the materials to be very slippery. Commonly being found in kitchens and bathrooms only makes things worse because of consistent exposure to water. For this treatment, you will also need a clean brush or roller when applying and removing the solution. Finally, you need a wet vacuum cleaner.

Preparing Anti-Slip Floor Treatment for home and workspaces

Carry out a test over a small area to check the suitability of Faber YS One anti-slip treatment or Safe Marble before application. We advise dividing your work area into smaller sections when working performing this slip-reduction treatment. Divide the areas according to how long the solution sits on the surface. Short contact time requires small areas. If the solution sits on the surface for longer amounts of time, divide the floor into larger areas.

How to Prevent Wet Floor Accidents and Get rid of slippery surfaces

1. Apply Faber YS One/Faber Safe Marble to the floor

Apply an even amount of the anti-slip solution to the surface. Cover the ensite surface in an even layer using a clean brush or roller.

2. Leave the solution to act

Leave the non-slip treatment to act on the surface. The material of the floor should determine the amount of time you need to wait. When using Faber YS One: - Ceramic and Stoneware: between 10-40 minutes - Clinker and quartz-based agglomerates: between 30-60 minutes - Granites: between 60-90 minutes When using Faber Safe Marble: - Limestone, soft marble and soft lime-based materials: 10 - 20 minutes - Hard, compact lime-based flooring: 15 - 30 minutes - Granite: between 60 and 90 minutes While waiting, the entire surface must remain wet and covered by Faber Safe Marble/Faber YS One. If necessary, redistribute or reapply the solution across the area. Without covering the whole area, the final result is uneven.

3. Get rid of all the excess

After waiting for the recommended amount of time, begin to remove the remaining excess. Do this using a wet vac if possible.

4. Wash away the residues

Using clean water, carefully rinse away any residues. This stage requires a lot of care. Begin rinsing away the residues from the same point where the anti-slip treatment was first applied. Aim to match the removal time of Faber YS One/Faber Safe Marble to the application time.

Afterwards

The effects of this slip-prevention treatment are felt after just one use and your floors require no further maintenance. After rinsing surfaces with water, they are immediately ready for use. After this anti-slip treatment, use Faber Neugel to clean surfaces whenever you need.

Faber Neugel Application Method

 On top of everything else, applying Faber Neugel is a quick and easy process. The application is simple and requires very little equipment. In fact, most of the equipment you will need is found around the house. When applying this neutral tile and grout cleaner, traditional application methods are suitable.  Faber Neugel should be diluted in clean water.  Dilution: - Materials with medium absorption: 30/40 grams in 5 litres of water (2-3 capsful of the product in a bucket of water) - Materials with medium-high absorption: 40/50 grams in 5 litres of water (4-5 capsful of the product in a bucket of water) How to Use: - Apply a fine layer of the solution - Wash the floor using your chosen method - Scrub harder in areas with more dirt - Wait for the surface to dry Surfaces do not need to be rinsed after treatment and once they dry, you are free to use them.
