Lavina PCD Tool
- Epoxy ocating removal and prep tools
- Varying levels of aggression
- Remove stubborn glue, epoxy and other substances
- Direction specific
The Lavina PCD tools are produced for coating removal and prep for epoxy. These economy PCD tools are great for removing both thin and thick layers of glue, epoxy and other coatings on concrete surfaces.
PCD stands for polycrystalline diamond.
These glue and epoxy removal tools are available without or without a metal button and sacrificial bars resulting in a different level of aggression.
The PCD tools equipped with a metal button or sacrificial bars are perfect for thin coating removal.
The Lavina diamond tools with the meta bond button and sacrificial bonds are less aggressive meaning no damage is done to the concrete. The sacrificial bars and a metal button provide stability and a depth guide for the tool, as well as decreasing the gauging of the floor. Typically, gauging is a result of the aggressive PCD segments.
Use these tools to get rid of medium to thin mastics or glues and failing epoxy coatings.
In contrast, the PCDs without a metal button or sacrificial bars are designed for thick coating removal.
The PCD tools without a metal bond or sacrificial bars are very aggressive leaving the concrete underneath with a very coarse profile. These coating removal tools get rid of a number of thick and stubborn substances. These substances include thick mastics and glues, thick parking deck membranes, elastomeric membranes 30 mils and up epoxy coatings and and coatings containing silica sand broadcast.
The Lavina diamond tools are direction specific tools.
