Preventative maintenance for brand-new tiling

Regularly sweep and vacuum porcelain flooring and in between tiles to prevent dirt build-up. Small debris can scratch tile surfaces if left to grind underfoot.

Mix a mild detergent solution for routine cleaning such as washing up liquid. Check product labels to avoid acidic cleaners and abrasive creams that may damage the tile glaze and grout.

For deep-cleaning heavily soiled porcelain, use an alkaline-based porcelain tile cleaner such as Faber 30 or Faber Deterfug.

Always thoroughly rinse tiles after washing to remove all detergent residues. Detergent left behind will create streaks and filming. Wipe dry with a soft cloth or towel after rinsing. Letting porcelain air dry can lead to unsightly spotting and watermarks.

Preventive Care: Sustain your tiles' radiance by wiping them down after use to fend off soap scum.

The Complete Guide to Cleaning and Restoring Tile Surfaces in Your Home

1) Prime Your Surface: Start by ensuring a debris-free surface. A swift sweep or vacuum sets the stage for optimal results.

2)The Scratch Off Cleaner can be used undiluted or it can be diluted in clean water, according to the amount of dirt that needs to be removed:  If used as a strong degreasing cleaner to remove foot-traffic dirt, stubborn and aged dirt, the product should be diluted to 20-30% in water (1 part of the product in 2/4 parts of water)

If used as a simple cleaning product to clean a ceramic slab before the restoration the product should be diluted to 10% in water (1 part of the product in 9 parts of water) Before applying the product on the whole surface make a preliminary test on a small portion of the surface.

3) Apply the solution, distributing it evenly with a white pad. Allow it to work its magic for 10-15 minutes, periodically boosting its prowess with gentle white pad strokes. Rinse off the residue, and for tenacious dirt, repeat the process.

4)For more stubborn and tenacious challenges, opt for Scratch Off Cleaner undiluted with extended contact times. For more information please refer to the technical data sheet.

5) After allowing the cleaner to act, wash away any residues with clean water.

6)Pour the Scratch Off Dark or Light onto the surface.

7) Distribute the scratch remover using the Fab K pads.

8) After spreading either solution across the surface, use a hand polisher and Fab K pads to brush the surface. Do this in linear movements following the direction of the scratches. Continue this process until either scratch removal solution dries. If necessary, re-apply Scratch Off and repeat the process.

9) Once again, rinse the area with clean water

10) Rub the area with the White Pad and paper towel or microfibre cloth.
