LTP Waxwash | Is Aftercare Really That Important?

Every natural stone is porous with different levels of porosity. So, your stone surface will still become more vulnerable to spills and marks over time, even when sealed.

To get the best out of your natural stone surface, particular maintenance needs to be kept on a semi-regular basis. In this blog, we will go through the importance of aftercare and one of the best cleaners we have found - LTP Waxwash.

For the best results for protecting the surface, you will need to routinely sweep and wash with an aftercare cleaner.

Following our blog on LTP Mattstone, we briefly mentioned the aftercare involving LTP Waxwash.

We would recommend keeping the sealer and cleaner to the same brand. They specially formulate the product range to work alongside each other.

LTP Waxwash is ideal for use on surfaces that are protected with LTP Mattstone, LTP Mattstone H20, LTP Colour Intensifier, LTP MPG Sealer, LTP Linseed Oil and LTP Clear or Antique Wax.

THE IMPORTANCE OF LTP WAXWASH

Some natural stones have a high porosity level, i.e. marble and slate, meaning they are very easily stained.

So, it would be wise to try and avoid spillages such as wine, cola, acidic products, fruit and oil, which can stain and essentially remove the polish from the surface.

However, we are all human.

We all like to have friends over for a glass of wine and show off your beautiful natural stone surface. There's always one that gets a bit too drunk and disaster strikes.

LTP Waxwash is a high-quality liquid soap known for its gentle, neutral cleaning action.

It cleans without damaging even the most delicate surfaces, whilst leaving a fresh, clean fragrance scent behind.

Suitable for interior and exterior use on both sealed and un-sealed, polished and unpolished surfaces.

It can be used on all types of surfaces including travertine, limestone, sandstone, slate, marble, porcelain, granite, terracotta, quarry tiles & flagstones.

IMPORTANT NOTE: On waxed or polished surfaces finish by buffing with a dry soft cloth or machine.

We have done the maths for you...I know how good are we...and we have found out something astonishing!

From buying a 5-litre bottle of LTP Waxwash on our website, it can ONLY cost you a measly 22p each time you clean your floor.

It’s a no brainer really.

HOW TO USE LTP WAXWASH

First of all, you have to dilute the product.

Dilute 2-5 capfuls of LTP Waxwash, depending on the state of the surface, in a bucket of warm water.

Then proceed to wash the floor with a clean cloth or mop and allow it to dry.

Does not require rinsing.

COVERAGE 

LTP Waxwash can cover an average floor of approximately 20m², 40 times with a 1-litre bottle!

WHAT TO AVOID

Keep out of reach of children.

Wear the correct protective gear: gloves and goggles.

If the product comes into contact with skin, then rinse with plenty of water.
