LTP MPG | Which Impregnating Sealer Should You Use?
When presented with such a range of impregnating sealers, it can get very confusing and we're here to tell you why you should be considering LTP MPG.
By now you should know the general information about impregnating sealers, if not we recommend reading our previous blogs.
In this blog, we will try to explain the difference between these sealers and what impregnating sealers you should be considering.
WHY IS LTP MPG DIFFERENT TO OTHER IMPREGNATING SEALERS?
In the LTP product range, there are five impregnating sealers. All with different and unique characteristics.
We have already covered LTP Mattstone, LTP Colour Intensifier Stainblock and LTP Stone Oil. They also have LTP Blackstone and LTP Mattstone H2O.
LTP MPG stands for marble, porcelain and granite as it is specifically formulated to be most efficient for these three surfaces.
It can also be used on limestone and slate, walls, floors, worktops and fireplaces.
It all depends on what you are looking for really. Some may like a matte finish to fit their modern look or a colour enhancement.
Different to others, this impregnating sealer is a colourless impregnating sealer that will not change the appearance of the surface but will give it strong protection against grease, oil, water and dirt.
LTP MPG also can be used on already polished surfaces which other impregnating sealers can not do.
THE IMPORTANCE OF LTP MPG
LTP MPG is an impregnating sealer that is perfect for marble, porcelain and granite, uniquely including walls and tiles that have been polished before.
It forms strong protection from grease, oil, water and dirt.
This tile sealer is extremely easy to apply and incredibly fast-acting, allowing for quick completion of large areas.
Suitable for use on polished porcelain, marble, granite, limestone and slate. Used on both exterior and interior surfaces.
HOW DOES LTP MPG WORK?
Firstly, the surface to be treated must be completely clean, dry and free from contamination.
If necessary, first clean the floor with LTP Grimex and allow it to dry thoroughly.
Then apply LTP MPG thinly and evenly with a soft cloth.
Buff well using a clean, dry cloth or machine after 20 minutes when the sealer is still wet.
Leave for 4 hours for the sealer to be completely dry.
On more porous surfaces, a second coat may be necessary.
Remove excess sealer from the surface and buff between each coat.
It will take a full 3 days to become entirely resistant.
COVERAGE
A 1-litre bottle should be sufficient to wash an average floor of 10-30m², depending on the porosity of the surface.
AFTERCARE
Use LTP Porcelain Floor Tile Cleaner and LTP Stonewash for walls.
Do not use strong bleach cleaners for routine aftercare.
WHAT TO AVOID
Keep away from sources of heat or open flames.
Do not over apply as it will leave a greasy residue on the surface.
Only use in well-ventilated areas.
Wear eye protection and protective gloves.
